Support for the Travel Retail Awards today shifts into another gear as Singapore Changi Airport Group (CAG) pledges its allegiance as Headline Sponsor.
CAG joins a growing list of industry heavyweights backing the first-of-a-kind initiative.
Diageo Global Travel, Furla, Mars ITR and Mondelēz World Travel Retail are already confirmed as Platinum Sponsors for a programme that seeks to celebrate excellence in travel retail through the eyes of the much spoken about – but rarely acknowledged – travelling consumer.
Gold sponsors include Bluedog Productions, Cabeau, Hanse Distribution, Travel Blue and Z-Zoom.

The addition of CAG to the Travel Retail Awards’ sponsor list follows an intense first round of judging undertaken by a select band of bloggers and vloggers (video bloggers) last month.
These key influencers were asked via a series of questions to scrutinise and share their likes and dislikes when it comes to airport shopping, favourable purchases, and good and bad experiences [click here to see how they got on].
Partner m1nd-set is currently undertaking detailed research among 5,000 participants uniquely sourced from its unique database of international travellers (weighted at 70% of the total score).
M1nd-set will be discovering popular products, airport shopping locations, mobile applications, social media offerings and much more.
This accounts for the second phase of the judging sequence, with finalists due to be announced later this month.
The winners will be revealed at the Travel Retail Awards, which takes place on Monday 7 May at Singapore’s Conrad Hotel during the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference.
Finalists and winners will receive ‘Voted by Shoppers’ logos to promote their respective successes.
Travellers will then be able to identify the achievements at airports and on travel retail products all over the world.
The logo will become synonymous with real consumer appeal as voted for by the people they trust: their fellow travellers.
