Transfer News LIVE updates: All the latest gossip from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, the Premier League, La Liga and more in the January window.
Sunday, January 14
10:00am: Stoke will tell clubs chasing England keeper Jack Butland to come back in the summer.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are all interested in the £40m-rated stopper but the trio will hit a brick wall if they attempt to sign him in the current window as Stoke have no intention of doing business at the moment.
With the Midlands club in the drop zone after a run of six defeats in eight games and having just sacked manager Mark Hughes, they will not sell any of their stars before June.
Butland, 24, struggled with a long-term foot injury last year but is now over those problems. And although the Potters have conceded more goals than any top-flight side this season – a staggering 47 to date – he remains one of the country’s most sought-after keepers.
9:30am: West Brom are eyeing Bristol City’s Aden Flint as a potential replacement for Jonny Evans.
Nicky Hammond, Albion’s technical director, was at the Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Manchester City last week.
It is believed he was at the Etihad to talk to City officials about Evans, 30, who is a £10m target for the Premier League leaders, as well as Arsenal and Manchester United.
But it was also a chance for Hammond to assess centre-back Flint. The powerful Flint, 28, gave a man-of-the-match display as the Championship club gave City a fright, before losing the first leg 2-1 in added time.
9:00am: West Ham are monitoring Marouane Fellaini’s contract situation at Manchester United.
David Moyes is keen to strengthen his midfield department as he looks to secure Premier League football for the Hammers next season.
Fellaini, 30, is out of contract in the summer and has indicated he is seeking a fresh challenge away from United where he will get more regular chances to play at first-team level.
United boss Jose Mourinho wants him to stay but there are claims that Fellaini has already turned down a deal worth £170,000-a-week to remain at Old Trafford.
08:30am: Liverpool are prepared to make a major offer to land Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.
Starsport understands that Liverpool are willing to battle Manchester City and Manchester United for Sanchez’s signature.
And Klopp and co are prepared to shell out upwards of £35m for the Gunners superstar, something City are not.
The Reds would likely struggle to match the cash on offer from City and United while Sanchez is still most keen on working under Pep Guardiola.
08:00am: Manchester City have stepped up their interest in Brazil midfielder Fred.
Starsport revealed last week that Arsenal and Manchester United were leading the chase for the Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker.
But City see Fred, 24, as a possible target in the summer and the £30m-rated ace is keen to jump on the Premier League gravy train.
In Ukraine, he earns £60,000-a-week and could easily double his money in England with a move to either City, United or Arsenal.
