The End of the F***ing World is currently everyone’s favourite new Netflix show that was totally ignored when it debuted months back on All4.

And now the darkly comic road trip series is a hit, people want to know if there will be a second series – and creator Jonathan Entwistle is one of those people.

“If there’s a continuing story there, then we’ll carry it on and I think that [the characters] James and Alyssa are just so amazing that it’d be very interesting to see if or what happens next.

“So, I guess it’s kind of open — and it’s not necessarily up to me, either.”

A second season hasn’t been confirmed yet, but now the show is a hit we can’t imagine Netflix in particular wanting to let it end there, and we’ve got a few theories on where a return could go.

Even star Alex Lawther recently teased that a second season of the hit show would be possible despite running out of comic book source material, arguing that it would give writer Charlie Covell a chance to make the series her own.

“It would give [her]…a chance to explore something from her imagination,” he said. “I would be very excited about [that] because I think she’s brilliant. So we’ll see, basically.”
