ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WTHR) – We’ve seen a number of Christmas lightings in the past week, but Rochester, New York tops – or is it “taps” – them all!
The Genesee Brewery held the annual lighting of its “Keg Tree” Friday night.
Complete with a crowd belting out the countdown, the annual event features a 27-foot tall “tree” made up of 11 rows of 430 empty, stainless steel beer kegs. This is the fourth year the brewery has lit a keg tree, followed by a special party outside.
Revelers were also treated to holiday music, food and, of course, beer.
The keg tree will remain on display through the beginning of January.
